The market has changed.
Mallorca is no longer the island where you can spontaneously go on vacation in June. extraordinary villa for August. The market for luxury villas has become tighter. Demand has increased, but the supply available in the really good locations has not. Those who wait, book compromises.
What worked five years ago - enquiring, negotiating and booking at short notice - no longer works today. At least not for the Villas, that cannot be compared.

The first mistake: starting too late. Anyone looking for a villa for July in May or June will still find something, but rarely the right one.
The second mistake: only trusting photos. A villa can look perfect in pictures and disappoint on site. The location is not right, the pool is in the shade, the neighbors are closer than expected. Photos show details. No section shows the whole truth.
The third mistake: not thinking about the group. A villa for six people sounds simple - but does it work for two families with children as well as for a group of adults? Rarely. The right villa is not the most beautiful one on the portal. It's the one that suits the people who will be living in it.
The fourth mistake: treating service as a matter of course. A villa is a house. What happens to it is decided by the service behind it. Who opens the door? Is there someone to contact if something is wrong? And is everything taken care of in the background before you even have to ask?
Why now is the right time.
If you book now, you still have a choice. In four weeks, this choice will be smaller. Much smaller in eight weeks.
This is especially true for the sought-after locations, Port d'Andratx, Cala Llamp, Son Vida, the west coast in general. Villas in these areas will not wait. They are booked by people who start earlier.
